Born and raised in Ohio, I originally received a BA in Business Administration and traveled extensively as a consumer products sales director. Life on the road took its toll on my health and, after learning I had acquired severe food allergies, I went to work healing myself with a whole foods diet and exercise. Excited with the results, I studied to obtain my certifications as a health coach and personal trainer so that I could help others live their happiest and healthiest life.
Now living in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, I use my passion for cooking (and eating!) to coach individuals and groups on healthy nutrition and demonstrate how to create simple, nutritious and delicious dishes. In addition, I teach fitness classes ranging from boot camp to yoga. I love the energy of large groups and want to reach as many people as I can.
I have two recipes in Dr. Mark Hyman's recently released Blood Sugar Solution Cookbook - Roasted Red Pepper and Cannellini Bean Soup which "embodied all of the principals of whole foods eating and accomplished creativity, elegance, flavor, fun and of course...simplicity", along with one of the first recipes I created - Creamy Asparagus Soup.
These recipes represent what I have been teaching at Whole Foods markets, the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, events at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, and to individuals and groups...whole foods eating that is delicious, nutritious and simple!
